Well here we are again, we've done the Top 10 Best Horror Sequels & Remakes of the past 10 years, so it's only fitting we now do the worst.
So before we get into it:
1 - The following list comprises of the best horror sequels and remakes of the past 10 years. This isn't a list of ALL the best films over that period but the best remake or sequel for each year from 2007 till 2016
2 - The list comprises of films that I feel I could watch multiple times, not necessarily the films with great reviews or well made, just some of my faves from each year.
3 - The following is MY opinion and my opinion alone.
With that out of the way let's get the ball rolling ...
2007

Hostel: Part 2 - Eli Roth
All you need to know is that the entire hostel series is soft core porn and gore purely for the sake of being soft core porn and gore.
There is nothing engaging about these films, nothing new and interesting, just very overhyped boring, pieces of shit.
2008

April Fools Day - Mitchell Altieri, Phil Flores and The Butcher Brothers
April Fools Day is a remake of the 1986 film of the same name and it doesn't take long before you can tell why it went straight to dvd.
The acting is pathetic and the whole film is very overdramatised. Skip this one and stick to the original
2009

Halloween 2 - Rob Zombie
Unlike the first Rob Zombie Halloween Remake, the sequel was nothing new and a bit all over the place. It's nothing like the first and isn't very engaging at all.
2010

Paranormal Activity 2 - Tod Williams
Now I know these films aren't exactly held in high regards when it comes to horror, but I personally don't mind the series, every now and then they bring out a paranormal film that i don't mind watching but the second film in the series was not one of them.
Essentially it's just a repeat of the first and very predictable, didn't really add too much to the story.
2011

The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence) - Tom Six
What made the first Human Centipede so disturbing and successful as a film was that it was medically correct. Everything that was performed and carried out in the film could actually happen.
The sequel to this however had ridiculous scenes full of over the top torture scenes that if they were to happen in real life, you wouldn't survive. It was torture for the sake of torture and grotesque for the sake of grotesque which took the seriousness away form the film and just made it disgusting or even humorous to some.
2012

Paranormal Activity 4 - Ariel Schulman, Henry Loost
As I stated previously in this list, the films in the Paranormal Activity series were always a hit or miss for me and thew 4th instalment was most certainly a miss.
I can see what they were trying to do with this film but coming after the third instalment of the franchise (which I believe to be one of the best on the series) it falls short and tends to bring in a lot of the same footage just remade from the first two.
2013

The Evil Dead - Fede Alvarez
Ok I know a lot of you are yelling at the screen right now calling me an idiot and what was I thinking putting this on the list as it did gain much success and a lot of fans really enjoyed this remake of the Sam Raimi classic of the same name, but I just didn't like it.
Apart from the fact that I feel it didn't need a remake to begin with like most remakes these days, I just felt it fell short of the magic that we got from the original, it was kind of dull and just very boring.
2014

ABC'S OF DEATH 2 - 26 Directors
ABC'S OF DEATH was a successful film made of 26 short films each with a different director each relating to a different letter of the alphabet.
Although I wasn't a big fan of the original, there were some short films amongst the group that were clever, funny and some were actually genuinely disturbing and creepy. The sequel however, did not. A lot of the short films in the sequel were lacking the initial hook to gain your interest. They were bland, predictable and boring.
2015

Poltergeist - Gil Kenan
Just don't watch it ... ever! If your a fan of the original stick to it, don't waste your time with this film that wasn't even needed to begin with.
2016

Blair Witch - Adam Wingard
-.-'
Why ... Why was this made, why did it go in the direction it did, just why ...
