Leslie Jones wants to be a smartass sidekick in 'DEADPOOL 2'

You may recognise Leslie Jones from her long-lasting run on SNL or more recently her role in last years Ghostbusters remake, but seems Leslie Jones has her eyes set n even bigger roles for the new year.

Jones' has expressed her interest in landing a role in 'DEADPOOL 2' in the past, but it seems she has a more specific role in mind. Jones' has now said that her eye is on the role of his loud mouth, wise-cracking sidekick.

Jones' appeared on 'The late Show With Seth Meyers' where she stated “In Deadpool I would love to be just the sidekick. Just feeding him back the lines. It would just be so fun.” Although Jones does not have a specific character in mind she is hoping to have the power of loudness with a very specific result: “Everybody’s clothes just come off em.” With this being the second time she has voiced her eagerness to join the highly anticipated sequel, it will be interesting to see if this gains any traction.

Jones will likely have a difficult time landing any larger role in the film. Deadpool 2 already appears to be gaining two fellow superhero friends in the sequel with both Cable and Domino set to appear. If she is going to gain a role, word on her involvement should come out in the coming months as Reynolds and new director David Leitch gear up for the start of production this summer.
