Most Anticipated - 2017

With 2016 officially behind us, it's time for us to embrace what's to come in 2017.

Below is the list of movies I am most eager to see in 2017, these films are purely a biased opinion and not the most anticipated due to public opinion.

These films are across all genres and a horror focused list will be available in the new future.

Name: Ghost In The Shell

Director: Rupert Sanders Known For - Black Hole, Snow White and the Huntsman Release date: March 31, 2017

Plot: Based on the anime/manga of the same name. The Major (Scarlett Johansson), a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, leads an elite task force known as Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic's advancements in cyber technology.

Director: Greg McLean Known For - Wolf Creek 1 & 2, The Darkness and Rogue Release Date: March 17, 2017

Plot: The American Belko Company in South America is mysteriously sealed off at the start of work, leaving 79 people trapped in an office building, forced to kill each other or be killed.

Name: Dunkirk

Director: Christpoher Nolan Known For - The Prestige, Momento, The Dark Knight Series, Interstellar, Inception, Man Of Steel Release Date: July 21, 2017

Plot: A group of soldiers lead by Corporal "Tubby" Bins (John Mills), stranded in France, must make their way to the shores of Dunkirk in hopes of a rescue. Back in Britain, Charles Foreman (Bernard Lee), a newspaper reporter, desperately tries to raise awareness among the public of the horrible reality of the war. When the British navy calls for all civilian ships to aid in a rescue, Foreman takes out his own small boat and attempts to bring Tubby and his men home safely.

Director: Jordan Vogt-Roberts Known For - Successful Alcoholics, Cocked and The Kings Of Summer Release Date: March 10, 2017

Plot: Explorers (Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman) encounter a gigantic ape and other monstrous creatures after traveling to an uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean.

Name: Alien: Covenant

Director: Ridley Scott Known For - Alien/Prometheus, Hannibal, Blade Runner, The Martian, Gladiator and many many more Release Date: May 19, 2017

Plot: Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, members (Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup) of the colony ship Covenant discover what they think to be an uncharted paradise. While there, they meet David (Michael Fassbender), the synthetic survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. The mysterious world soon turns dark and dangerous when a hostile alien life-form forces the crew into a deadly fight for survival.

Plot: Based off the Novel of the same name, The film tells the story of seven children as they are terrorized by the eponymous being, which exploits the fears and phobias of its victims in order to disguise itself while hunting its prey. "It" primarily appears in the form of a clown in order to attract its preferred prey of young children

Director: Bill Condon Known For - Mr Holmes, Twilight Breaking Dawn Parts 1 & 2, Dreamgirls Release Date: March 17, 2017

Plot: Belle (Emma Watson), a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, is taken prisoner by a beast (Dan Stevens) in its castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the beast's hideous exterior, allowing her to recognize the kind heart and soul of the true prince that hides on the inside.
